Her parents were born in Tenn. Margaret was listed as age 22 when she married Sherman in 1896, and then listed as born Oct 1873 in the 1900 census with her husband, sons Jesse (2) and Clyde (2 mos) and her widowed father James M. Harris (Dec 1839).
She is listed next to Floyd, with her youngest son in the 1930 census, widowed. She also had a grandson, Robison C. (7) living with her.
In 1940 she is listed in San Jose, CA at age 67, living with her daughter Audie Richardson (32) and grandson Gus Richardson (17). It says they have been living in Le Flore Co, OK in 1935.
Granddaughter, Sibyl (Bowden) Alford said:
In 1934, Grandma Bowden, Uncle Ellis, Aunt Audie and her husband Roy Richardson, all came to California. The family settled in Santa Clara County and never left.
