He lived with his grandparents after the death of his mother, when his father was in the military. He is listed with his father and step-mother in 1870 in Wysox, PA.
Darward married Emma J. _______ who died 2 Mar 1878 in Plains, Luzerne Co, PA. Emma’s will left all to her husband.
In 1880 Darward was with Annie Eliza Husband, his second wife, and she was pregant with Barton Howard Wiggins in September of that year while they were staying on his grandfather John's farm. They were preparing to move to Wisconsin in the spring of 1881, where is not yet known. Darward and Annie lost a child in between Barton and Homer in the fall 1881 in Wisc. Homer and Walter were born in Wisconsin--supposedly Stegeron Bay. They also had a daughter Nelly.
Darward and Annie are both buried in Menominee, MI. He apparently moved to Washington after his wife died.
