ENID, Okla. — Funeral for Conrad Phillip Wells, 82, of Enid, will be 2 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Susan Southall will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Connie was born Jan. 14, 1930, to Glenn and Florena (Hoffman) Wells in Long Beach, Calif.
He graduated from Enid High School and then attended Oklahoma State University.
He worked at Cromwell’s for 20 years and then owned and operated Thorpe-Wells with his wife for the following 20 years.
He was a life member of Sons and Daughters of the Cherokee Strip Pioneers, charter member of Grand National Quail Club and a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and golf. He was also an avid follower of Plainsman and Pacer athletics.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn (Coyle) of the home; daughters, Jo Bliss of Los Angeles, Calif., Susie Pruett and husband Jimmie of Austin, Texas, and Kay Grey and husband Norman of Enid; brother, Richard and wife Linda of Oklahoma City; sister, Glenda Ream of Verdigris; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Wells of Del City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives who affectionately called him “Poppy.”
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Wells; his parents; and his brother, Hal.

[Obituary]
A Graveside Service for Evelyn Faye Wells, 90, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Enid Cemetery with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:45 am on Saturday prior to departing for the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Evelyn was born February 23, 1930, in Enid, OK, to Lelon and Leona Coyle, and passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Enid.
She graduated from Enid High School and married Conrad (Connie) Wells. Together they owned and operated the Chit Chat Café and later Thorpe-Wells.
Evelyn was active in the community; serving as President of ABWA Enid Chapter; she served on the Board of the Enid YWCA as well as many organizations benefitting women. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 70 years.
Evelyn is survived by three daughters: Jo Bliss of Los Angeles, CA; Susie Pruett and husband Jim of New Braunfels, TX; and Kay Grey and husband Norman of Enid; brother-in-law Richard Wells and wife Linda, of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Glenda Ream of Verdigris, OK; and sister-in-law Yvonne Wells of Del City. She was most happy to be Meme to eight grandchildren; Rachel, Jamie, Galen, Tyler, Abby, Christopher, Lisa, and Stacy; as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Connie and their son Jeff; her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
