Born in Enid, OK on May 13, 1948 to Glenn Phillip and Florena Belle (Hoffman) Wells. Glenda was raised and educated in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She continued her education at the University of Central Oklahoma which is now called UCO. Glenda received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. In April of 1967 Glenda married the father of her children John Ream Sr. and they had two children John and Gina. Glenda provided for her family working in education as a band director in both Oklahoma and Texas from 1970 till 1985. In 1985 she began a career at the hospital on Tinker Air Force Base as budget analysist until her retirement in 2005.
A lady that devoted her whole life to raising her children and then starting the whole process over when grandchildren came along. Glenda was always involved in whatever activities her children and grandchildren were in. She was always their biggest fan as well as encourager. Glenda was a mother advisor for the Order of Rainbows for girls in Midwest City. She was a DeMolay mom and could always be counted on to be a door guard on trips as well as provide the snacks.
Glenda was gifted with musical talent. She had the ability to play almost any instrument she picked up. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and was an avid reader. When grandchildren came along, she became their own personal chauffer. No story about Glenda would be complete unless you mentioned her love of her family. According to her children everything was about family and she demonstrated that to them every day. She loved the times they could all be together and her smile was certainly the brightest then.
This mother, Grammy, Meme, sister, and aunt will be missed by the countless lives she touched.
