Thomas Wells of Morrisburg died at his daughter's home at Gallingertown on Friday. He was 52 years of age. Born at Aultsville, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He had been in poor health for over two years. He was a son of the late Charles Edsel Wells and his wife Sarah Adelaide Gallinger, of Aultsville. Thirty-two years ago at Morrisburg he married Iris Mary Lamb who survives. For more than 10 years he was well known in the district as a bread salesman. Since that time he has operated, a taxi service with his son-in-law, George Smith.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters Mrs. George (Marjorie) Smyth at Morrisburg, and Mrs. Charles (Joyce) Tuttle at Gallingertown. He leaves three brothers, Ross, at Potsdam, N.Y., Harvey, at Cardinal, and Walter, at Riverside, and one sister, Mrs. Ed. VanAlien, at Ingleside. There are three grandchildren. The funeral was held Sunday from the Jarvis Funeral Home, Victoria St., Morrisburg, with Rev. Mr. Edmunds officiating. Burial was in Williamsburg cemetery.
