WELLS, Kezia Jane
At the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 22, 2000, Kezia Wells (nee Pemberton) of R.R. #1 Williamsburg, in her 100th year. Loving wife of the late John Wells. Dear mother of Muriel (Doug) Gow of R.R. #2 Williamsburg, and Donald (Ellyn) Wells of R.R. #1 Williamsburg. Predeceased by a son Lyle, a grandson Garry Wells, brothers Floyd and Harold and sisters Fern Carville, Nellie Merkely, Alice Reddick and Gladys Pemberton. Kezia will be dearly missed by grandchildren Glenna (Ray) Eldridge, Dalton (Nelda) Gow, Lloyd Wells (Colette Fleury), Heather (Ron) Baker, David (Ruth) Wells, Kelly (Greg) DeDekker, great grandchildren Cathy McCabe, Debbie Mayhew, Denzil Gow, Darryl Gow, Michael Wells, Jessie Wells, Bailey Wells, Maggie Wells, Chase DeDekker, Drew DeDekker, and great-great-grandchildren Steven, Samantha, Tasha, Tanya, Douglas and Julia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Marsden & McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Sunday from noon until 1:30 pm A Rebekah service will be held on Saturday at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Williamsburg on Sunday December 24th at 2 pm. Spring interment Sprucehaven Cemetery, Brinston. Donations to Winchester Hospital or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Kezia Jane Wells
Kezia Jane Wells of RR 1 Williamsburg died December 22, 2000, at Winchester District Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was 99.
She was born February 14, 1901 in Williamsburg Township to the late William Pemberton and the late Edith Pemberton (nee Beckstead). Mrs. Wells was predeceased by her husband, John Wells, whom she married August 31, 1921 in Williamsburg.
She was a lifetime resident of the Williamsburg area and was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran
Church in Williamsburg. Mrs. Wells was a housewife and was a member of the Matilda Rebekah Lodge #342 for over 52 years. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards and she was extremely talented at doing needlepoint, crocheting, quilting and knitting.
Mrs. Wells was very dedicated to her family and she always took a keen interest in what was happening in the lives of each and every one of her family members. She is survived by son Donald (Ellyn) of RR 1 Williamsburg and daughter Muriel (Doug) Gow of RR 2 Williamsburg.
She was predeceased by son Lyle, grandson Garry Wells, brothers Floyd and Harold, and sisters Fern Carvill, Nellie Merkley, Alice Reddick and Gladys Pemberton.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg on December 24 and were officiated by Reverend Joachim Barkley-Probst.
Spring interment will take place at Sprucehaven Cemetery in Brinston. Pallbearers are David Wells, Greg DeDekker, Lloyd Wells, Ron Baker, Dalton Gow and Ray Eldridge.
Donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital or St. Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.

Suddenly, on Tuesday, January 20, 1981, John Henry Wells, of R.R. I, Williamsburg, in his 8lst year; beloved husband of Kezia Jane Pemberton; dear father of Donald, at home, and Muriel (Mrs. Douglas Gow) of Williamsburg: brother of Mrs. Iva Guay of Washington, D.C. and Lloyd of Detroit, Michigan; also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son Lyle, and brother, Wesley, and sisters, Mrs. Della Hess, Mrs. Annie Hess and Mamie.
Resting at The Fairbairn Funeral Home Ltd., Morrisburg. Ontario, where Brinston Rebekah Lodge, No. 342, will hold Services on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and Williamsburg. 1.0.0.F. Lodge, No. 349, will hold Services at 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 22, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment Spruce Haven Cemetery, Brinston.
