He first appeared in Kentucky on the Mulenburg Tax List dated July 17, 1806. He owned 200 acres on Pond River and remained there until 1817. In 1818 he appeared on the Daviess Co, KY Tax List with two horses and valuables totaling one hundred dollars. He was enrolled in Brumfield's Militia Company. On March 31, 1828 he sold his property in Mulenburg County for three hundred dollars. On July 9, 1831 he bought property in Daviess Co, KY containing 198 acres for the amount of two hundred dollars.
