Following the death of Charles, she was remarried to James Albert Trotter.
She was the widow of James Albert Trotter (25 Feb 1866 - 2 Jan 1947), who had previously married her older sister Miranda, when she died. But she is buried with Charles and their stillborn daughter.

Charles David died at home of a gunshot wound. His death was attributed to suicide but family and friends said that Charles David would never have killed himself. It was rumored that his wife was seeing another man. Even Phoebe’s family doubted that he had killed himself.
He is buried with his unnamed wife (Phoebe) and their baby.
