WELLS Jr., Albert Graeser
Albert Graeser Wells Jr., born February 1, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA to Albert Graeser Wells Sr. and Ruth Edwards Wells and brother, Turner Wells, passed away September 30, 2017 surrounded by family in Dallas, TX.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thurs-day, October 12, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Richardson, TX at 10:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany or charity of choice.
Albert attended Phillips Exeter Academy and Cornell University graduating from the University of Pittsburgh. He deployed with the Army during WWII to maintain the Ledo Road in Burma. Albert married the love of his life, Elizabeth Powel Jack on December 4, 1943. As first lieutenant, he returned from active duty to Wichita Falls, TX. He worked there and later in Alice, TX as a petroleum engineer. Albert was proudest of his 73-year marriage to Bess. He loved the Lord and was a dedicated Episcopal churchman. He vacationed at Eatons' Ranch, Wolf, WY and led his family ahorseback on its trails until age 94. SURVIVORS: wife, Elizabeth Wells, daughters: Kate and husband, Mike Moran of Dallas, Ruth E. and husband, Steve Lyng of Kenosha, WI, grandchildren: Michael and Suzanne Moran of Dallas, Molly and Dave Bryant of Fort Worth, Abby and Phil Clark of Rio Rancho, NM, Maggie and Jeremiah Mayfield of Dallas, Ryan Lyng of Kenosha, WI, and 8 great grandchildren.
