Bertha Kenworthy
Bertha May Kenworthy, 91, Rolla, MO, died of natural causes May 24, 1992 at Rolla Manor Care Center in that city. She had lived in Rolla since 1940, and was a former resident of Monrovia for one year.
The daughter of Walter and Anna Hardin Murray, she was born July 27, 1900 in Enos, Texas. She married Heine Kenworthy on Dec 24, 1935. He survives in Rolla. She was the eighth child born of 11 children and the last one to die.
Mrs. Kenworthy was a cafeteria cook for the Rolla, MO public school systems for several years. She retired in 1965. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in St. James, MO, and a member of the WPFA and a garden club.
Surviving besides the husband are one son, Henry Leatherman, Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren and servers great-and-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 am Friday at Null & Sons Funeral Home in Rolla, MO. Friends may call there from 7 to 9 pm today. The Rev. Nathan Janssen will conduct the graveside burial service at 10:30 Saturday at West Union Cemetery in Monrovia. Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville is handling local arrangements.
