Married on 16 Nov 1921 to William Timothy Hess (1903-1981) and on 31 Aug 1942 to George Dewey Trobough (1898-1966).
In 1940 she is listed as Mammie Hess (37, NE) divorced and working as a laborer in a poultry plant. With her are her son Billy (17, NE) working in a CCC camp and daughter Bonnie (14, NE). At the time, George Trobough (42, NE) is living with them as a lodger and working as a salesman at a retail pool hall.

MAMIE FRANCES TROBOUGH
Mamie Frances Trobough, the first of six daughters born to William Thomas and Laura Bell (Campbell) Wells, was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on April 17, 1904, and passed away in Oxford, Nebraska on April 20, 1992, at the age of 88 years and 3 days.
As an infant she moved with her parents to Clay City, Illinois where they lived for five years. In 1909, she moved with her parents and sister, Lucille, to Furnas County, Nebraska where she grew up and attended rural schools in the Spring Green area southwest of Beaver City.
She was married to W. T. Hess and two children were born to this union, William Thomas (1923) and Bonnie Jean (1926). They lived near Beaver City and at Elkhorn. Later, after the divorce, Mamie and her children lived in Beaver City and Oxford, where she worked for a number of years.
In 1943, she was married to George Dewey Trobough and they lived in Oxford until 1957 at which time they moved to Bishop, Texas. In Bishop, they owned and operated a Dairy Queen. Dewey passed away March 6, 1966. Mamie returned to Oxford in 1969 where she spent the remainder of her life.
Mamie loved to sew and crochet and do for her family and friends. Family and friends were very important to her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Pierson and her husband, Bob, of Kyle, TX; one son, William Hess and his wife, Virginia, of San Jose, CA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lucille Quinn of Beaver City, NE, Florence Nichols of Napa, CA and Dorothy LaCroix and her husband, James, of Willis, TX; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Additional survivor was Leora (Gibson) Weatherwax and her sons. She was a close friend and foster daughter for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Trobough in 1966; her parents: Tom Wells in 1937 and Laura Wells in 1972; and two sisters: Ada Wells in 1917 and Doris Wells in 1923.
Funeral services were conducted from the Mitchell-Nelson Funeral Home in Oxford with Rev. Dallas Johnson officiating. Music was provided by Sharon Fletcher and Phyllis McInturf. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford.
