Both Dorothy and her brother Ray were listed as living with their Uncle William in Indianapolis in 1920.
Her marriage record to Louis A. Prince lists her birth date but the year as 1902, and her birthplace, but the state as Tenn. but has her correct parents, and later census confirm her place of birth.
By 1940 they had moved to Cincinnati and are listed with Louis (42, IN) working in a wood shop, Dorothy (35, IN) working in a music shop, and daughters Delores Rose (28 Nov 1925, Shelbyville IN-21 Dec 2003 Cincinnati, OH) and Shirley Lee (29 Oct 1927, Peru IN-22 Feb 1980, Orange, CA).
She is listed as Dorothea on his WWII draft registration.
