He married (2nd) Mar 23, 1692 at the French Church, Kinderkamack, Marretje VanWinckell wid. of Peter Jansen Slot, b. c.1643 dau. of Jacob Wallings VanWinckell and Trientje Jacobs. He married (3rd) Dec 20, 1702 at Hackensack, Magdalena Laurens, wid. of Jean Tullier. His will was dated Mar. 29, 1714 probated Nov 10, 1719 and is filed at Trenton. Executors were his son Peter and Abraham Brower. Jean joined the Hackensack Ref. Dutch Church by letter from the French Church Kinderkamack July 10, 1696. In 1670 Jean was elected a Constable in Harlem, in 1683 was commissioned a Lieutenant of Militia for Bergen Co, NJ. His first home in New Jersey was on the original patent, exact location unknown. Later he inherited the house built by his father David on the west side of the Hackensack River and the Little Mill. This house he in turn left to his grandson David son of David who had died.
