She was not listed with her mother in 1910, due to being married to Stephen Riley Shaw (24, NE) on 20 Mar 1909 in Lexington, Dawson Co, NE. He died in 1918.
In 1920, Myrtle (26, NE) is listed in Minneapolis with husband Clyde Nichols (45, WI) a laborer, and children Gladys (10, NE), Ople (6, NE), Floyd (4yr 6mo, NE) and Raymond (2yr 11mo, IA). A delayed birth record for Ray Clyde Nichols (b. 23 Feb 1917 Ogallala, NE) was issued in 1976, listing Ray C. Nichols and Myrtle Westbrook as his parents.
Myrtle is then listed in the 1925 Iowa census as Myrtle M. Bundy (31, NE), living with the family of her sister Olga and William Napier. Her sons Raymond C. Nichols (8) and Edwim M. Nichols (5) were with her. It is not known who her Bundy husband was or when they married, but he either adopted the two boys, or they simply used his nameā€¦. because
By 1930 she was remarried to Charles Smalley (39, IA) a fireman at a Hospital, first married at age 20. Myrtle (36, NE) shows as first married at age 15. Living with them are Raymond Bundy (13, NE) and Edmond Bundy (10, NE) both listed as his step-sons.
They are also listed there again in the 1940 Omaha city directory.
She was married to Charles L. Smalley (7 Nov 1890-17 Sep 1969) when she died, and with whom she is buried.

MRS. MYRTLE SMALLEY
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 27, for Mrs. Myrtle Smalley, 60, of 5515 N. 18th Street formerly of South Omaha. She is survived by her husband Charles L. (Harry); three sons, Floyd Stephen Shaw, Raymond Clyde Nichols, and Sgt. Edmond Merle Nichols; daughters, Mrs. Ernest W. Lynn, Sr., Mrs. John Spahn; brothers, Edward and Riley Warner; sisters, Mrs. Olga Sullivan, Mrs. Martin Hitchcock, Mrs. Raymond Beans, Mrs. Mike Barta, Mrs. Wayne Adle, Mrs. Fred Brandt, Miss Clara; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandson.
Services were held from Brewer-Korisko Chapel with Rev. Raymond Beans officiating. Committal West Lawn Cemetery.
