In 1920, he is listed as Riley D. Hitchcock (11, NE). But all further records list him as Riley Warner.
Riley was 21 and living in Baltimore in 1930, married to Myrtle L. Marshall (1909 WV-1990) with son Robert. E. (1, MD). He was listed as laborer, first married at age 19.
By 1940, they had 3 more sons, and were living with Myrtle’s mother in Baltimore.
They were subsequently divorced, as he was then married to Catherine E. Schindele (1904-1970), who was his wife at the time of his death.

Riley D. Warner, Sr.
Riley D. Warner, Sr., employee of the Bethlehem Steel Company for the last 28 years, died yesterday morning at South Baltimore General Hospital. Mr. Warner, who was 56, was born and educated in Lincoln, Neb., and lived at 1121 South Hanover street. Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Schindele; three sons, Robert E., Bruce G. and Riley D. Warner, Jr., and ten grandchildren.

Funeral from John J. Cowan and Son, Inc., Hollins and Poppleton streets, on Thursday at 11 A.M. Interment at Glen Haven Cemetery. Visiting hours from 2 to 9 P.M.
