She was born 2 months after her father died, when her mother was already remarried, but apparently used the surname of her actual father as well as her mother’s husband when she was born. However, daughters Evelyn and Deloris both listed her maiden name as Pearl Timmons on their marriage licenses.
She married Martin Hitchcock, the brother of her mother’s fourth husband, Charles Hitchcock.
