“Anderson Family Records” lists “Gershom, taxed in Jamaica in 1709, but removed to N.J.” as the son of Thomas Wiggins from Battersea, County Surrey, England who was one of the first settlers of Jamaica, Long Island.
He was referenced in the will of his brother Thomas (of Jamaica, NY) in April 1728.
