Married first to Flora Dovie Keiter (1881-1919).  They were married in Jackson County, WV, and had 8 children. He started as a farmer, worked in a stove foundry, and carpenter for the railroad. They moved to Sebring, and then Alliance, OH prior to her death from liver cancer in 1919 following the birth of her son, Raymond.
Married second to Hannah Emily Cartwright (1874-1919) 23 Dec 1900 in Jackson Co, WV. Hannah had 3 children who were old enough that they didn’t live with the new family. Hannah helped raise Marion’s family, but they apparently had no children together.
