Listed as Isah at age 8 in the 1850 census with his parents.
By 1860 he was Isiah in Illinois working as a laborer (18, OH) and living with the Wilcox family. The rest if his family was in Stephenson Co, IL.
He enlisted as a Private in Company E of the 15th Illinois Infantry at age 19 as Isaiah on 24 May 1861 in Freeport, IL (where his parents lived) for 3 yrs. At the time he lived in Warren, Jo Daviess Co, IL. He died later that year at Rolla, MO in Oct 1861.
