Listed with his widowed mother, grandfather and brother in Guernsey Co, OH in 1880.
He married Mary in 1888, then married (2nd) his distant cousin Ella Dulany STEPHENS abt 1896.
Listed in 1900 census as Levy Stevens in Warren Co, IL with his wife Ella and son Halton. They then moved to Idaho in 1907 and were listed there thru 1930. The Stephens ranch, Riverside Farm, in Apple Valley, bordered by the Snake River on one side and the site of Old Fort Boise. 640 acres. The dairy farm was the first to have the Milking machine in the valley, made possible by the Idaho Power Co. bringing a power line to the ranch in exchange for a right-of-way through the Stephens land. Levi & Ella were community builders, members of the Meth. Episcopal Church and also on the school board.
