Donald Ross Dorr Jan. 19, 1931-March 11, 2009 Donald Ross Dorr, 78, of Concord, California, beloved grandfather, husband, farther, brother died on March 11, 2009. Don died peacefully and was surrounded by family and close friends. Don was born on January 19, 1931, and raised in San Jose, California to Elsie and Ross Dorr. Don served proudly and with honor in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to1952. He also had a distinguished career with the San Jose Fire Department where he worked as an Engineer from 1954 to 1980. After retiring from the Fire Department, Don worked as a Commercial Salmon Fisherman for 20 years. After all was said and done and it was finally time to retire, Don decided to run his own business and clean Mini Blinds. Although busy with his endeavors, Don never lost his love for fishing, boating and tall tails of his adventures. Don was survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Linda Limpus, his children Kal Dorr, Paula Bastian Ross Dorr, Nathan Limpus and Molly Limpus, His siblings Barbra Dorr and Frank Dorr and many other dear friends and family members. Visitation will be held at the Chapel of Mission Memorial Park and Seaside Funeral Home on March 18, 2009 at 4:00-7:00 PM, Funeral services will be held on March 19, 2009 at 1:00, both located at 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, California.
