Misc. Notes
Little is known of the generation of Jonathan Morey.
At the time of his parents removal to Rhode Island, Jonathan Morey was about sixteen years old.
He chose to remain at Plymouth, or soon removed from Salem to that town, for it was there he spent his life.
He and his wife appear to have lived quietly in Plymouth, his name appearing only a few times in the records, once with others for non-payment of rent for grazing lands, another as a juryman in 1682, and again when he defended an Indian, William Connett, accused of trespass, resulting in the jury finding the land in question was owned by the Indian.
Will probated 16 Jun 1708 Plymouth.
