Longtime Gresham resident Donna Jean Palmer, 75, died Sunday, Nov. 15, at her home.
A private celebration of Donna's life has been held. She was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
Donna was born Oct. 10, 1934, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Donald and Elizabeth Wells. She was raised in San Gabriel, attending school in Alhambra, Calif., where she graduated from Alhambra High School.
On April 11, 1953, she married Russell Palmer in San Gabriel. The couple moved to Gresham in 1972.
Donna was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a former Parent Teacher Association president, as well as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Gresham Senior Center Bridge Club.
Survivors include her husband of Gresham; daughter, Susan Palmer of Portland; son, Michael Palmer of Chicago; brothers, William Wells of Portland and Gerald Wells of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and one grandson.
Gresham Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to Providence Hospice Care, c/o Donna Jean Palmer, Eastside Patient, 6410 N.E. Halsey St., Suite 300, Portland, 97213.
