Listed as born Jun 1883 in the 1900 census with her parents, but all subsequent records including SSDI and headstone list her birth as 1884.
Thus she was born their illegitimate child, before they were married in 1886.
Married Thomas A. Swafford (b. 1874, IN-1944) in 1904, and had a son Paul C. age 5 in the 1910 Shelbyville census. It appears that was their only child, and they lived in Shelbyville the rest of their lives.
In 1940 Thomas (66, IN) was listed as a farmer with Metta (55, IN) as the only other member of the household.
