Sara Goettsch, from Minneapolis passed away on November 9, 2022. She passed away from natural causes. Sara was born in Moorhead, Mn in 1968. From July 1984 to June 1985, Sara was a foreign exchange student in Denmark. She was a graduate of St. Olaf for her master's degree in mathematics. After graduation, Sara joined the Peace Corp in 1990. While in the Peace Corp, she went to Botswana, Africa for one year. After that, Sara joined Franklin Bank as a teller and worked her way up to be a loan officer.
Sara is preceded in death by her parents Roger and Karen Goettsch. She is survived by her partner Christopher, sister Amy with spouse Jim, and nieces of Leah, Mandy, and Emily. Sara will be dearly and greatly missed. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to MPR Minneapolis.
