Pearl H. Uttermark, 89, of Sauk Rapids, formerly of Granite Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel. Friends and relatives may gather after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday morning at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel. Rev. Don Wilke will officiate and burial will be in Granite Falls at a later date. Pearl was born on August 11, 1921 in Lemure, North Dakota to Sigurd and Anna (Hellesvig) Jacobsen. She lived in the Sauk Rapids area since 1977. She was a clerk for most of her life, for a bakery, a hardware store and for many years, the Department of Motor Vehicles. Pearl enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a wonderful mother, always putting others before herself. Pearl will be dearly missed. Survivors include her sons, Gordon (Cheryl Jones) Uttermark of Woodbury and Bruce (Teresa Scully) Uttermark of Prescott Valley, Arizona; her brother, Gerald (Ruth) Jacobsen; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; brother, Elwood Jacobsen; and sister, Merlyn Swanson. Memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids.
