Married Mathias Hartley in 1868, and living in Lasalle Co, Illinois in 1880 where Mathias is a farmer (42, PA) with Anna (35, PA) and their children: Alice (15), Linsy (13), Theodosia (11), David (9), Marshall (7), Burton (5), Bertha (3), and Edward (2) all born in Illinois.
In 1900, she is listed in McLean Co, IL as a landlord (May 1846, PA) married 37 yrs, with 9 of her 10 children surviving. She is listed without her husband, and only with son David (Dec 1870, IL) and dau Frances (Dec 1884, IL). However, Mathias is listed in Normal Twp, Douglas Co, IL a farmer (Sep 1838, PA) with son Evander (Aug 1881, IL) and his sister Rebecca E. Hartley (Jun 1857, PA). He died in 1915 and is buried in Minonk Twp Cem, Woodford Co, IL with their son, Edward.
By 1910, she had moved to Wichita, KS and is listed as a widow (64, PA) even though Mathias was still living. With her is adopted son Wilbur (8, IL). And here is says 7 of her 9 children are still living.
She is then listed in the 1913-1915 city directories for Wichita, KS as the widow of Mathias Hartley.
She had migrated to California by time of the 1920 census in Glendale, CA where she is listed as Annie Hartley (73, PA) a widow, with Wilbur Hartley (18, IL) and Fred Seybold (20, IL) as grandsons.
