Known as "Harry" or "Bud", Harvey resided in the Town of Cornwall, Ontario in 1921. He started working at the age of 16 on a Great Lakes ship. During WWI, he joined the army and volunteered to go to Saskatchewan to work on the harvest. After the war, he returned to working on the ships and became a chief engineer. In June of 1924, he stopped sailing, and moved to Rochester. Here, he went to work for the Rochester Gas & Electric. After 38 years working there, he retired and moved to California around 1960, where he died in 1962.
