ENOSBURG FALLS - Kenneth Porter Wells, age 60, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Wednesday November 5, 2003 at his home.
He was born May 12, 1943 in Rochester, NY the son of the late Porter & Arthena (Hartman) Wells.
Ken was a resdent of Enosburg Falls since 1996 and was employed as a driver for Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network, Inc. He was a former resident of Tampa, FL, where he drove truck for Keeblers for 17 years. He was a very special member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Berkshire. Ken always received a great amount of joy by helping others.
He is survived by his fiancee, special friend and nurse, Nancy Brier of Enosburg Falls; Nancy's children, Katie Brier of Wolcott, Rosemarie Brier of Johnson, and Kenneth Brier of Johnson; 3 grandchildren, Skyler & Dillon Cochran, and Caleb Hislop; 2 brothers, Wayne Wells of Tampa, FL, and Gary Wells of Rochester, NY; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Sandy Bocash of Enosburg Falls. He also leaves behind his dogs, Sadie & Elvis.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Wells.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Rice Hill Cemetery in Sheldon.
