By 1940 she was married to Joseph Macy “Joe” Gunning (7 Nov 1918 OK-7 Jan 2001 TX) and they had moved from Oklahoma City to Colorado City, TX where he did office work in an oil refinery. They already had a year old son, Joe Jr who was born in Texas.
Listed as the wife of Joe M. Gunning in her mother’s 1958 obituary.
They later lived in Beaumont, TX, where Joe died.
