He is listed with his parents Wm H. and Lucy E. Rexroad in the 1890 Oklahoma territorial census, as a Twin, age 7. The census taker put them on a single line, so it was transcribed as James Henry Rexroad, rather than James and Harry. Still listed there in 1900 as well, this time he and his brother are listed separately.
By 1910 he had married Blanche (31, KS) and was still in Guthrie, OK
He was with Blanche, living in Oklahoma City and working as a traveling salesman for Perry Milling Co. when he registered for the WWI Draft in 1918.
They were still in Oklahoma City in 1930, with daughter Mary Elizabeth (19, OK).
He married Ruth in 1934, and is listed with her and her son in 1940.

In 1920 she is listed in Oklahoma with husband Ester L. Jones (30, IL) a doctor. She is Ruth Marie (26, IL) and they have son Robert (6, OK) and daughter Evelyn L. (2yr 10mos, OK).
By 1930 she was listed as widowed (but actually divorced) and in Streator, IL working as a saleslady (35, IL) with her son Robert Jones(16, OK) and daughter Evelyn Louise Jones (13, OK).
Listed in 1940 as Ruth M. Rexroad (46, IL) with husband James Abner Rexroad (57, KS) a retail grocery salesman whom she married 1 Jun 1934 in Oklahoma Co, OK. With them is her son Robert E. Lee Jones (26, OK). James died shortly thereafter in 1941.

Mrs. Irons Rites at Colorado City
Colorado City - Graveside rites for Mrs. Ruth M Irons, 64, who died in New Orleans, Louisiana, Saturday, were held in the Colorado City Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. She was the mother of Mrs. (Joe M) Evelyn Louise Jones Gunning of Colorado City and was a resident of New Orleans.
