She married Mr. Koonce and had daughters Mary and Sarah before his death (or divorce). She was living with her daughter Sarah and son-in-law, Thomas Hines, during 1850 census.
She then married John Penn (1800-1879) in Richland county the next year. They are listed there in the 1860 census, with her listed as Mary, born in Virginia but no age listed. His son John (28, VA) is listed with them.
In 1870 they are listed as John Penn (70, MD) and Nancy (75, VA) in Morrow Co, OH.
She shows up living with daughter Sarah and Thomas again in 1880 in Indiana as Nancy Penn.

Died at the residence of her son-in-law, Thomas H. Hines, in Jefferson township, Noble county, Ind., Feb. 8, 1884, in her 89th year. Mrs. Nancy Penn.
