She and John Hinchey were married as members of St. Stephen’s parish, and their marriage was witnessed by William Murphy and Catherine Flood.
In 1871 they were in St David, and had daughter Mary (8 mos). But by 1881 their children were: Mary (10), Agness (9), Margaret (8), Josephine C. (6), Elizabeth (3) and Annie Florence (7 mos).
By 1891 Cathrine was left a widow of John Hinchey, with 5 girls - Mary, Agnes, Margret, Josephine and Annie.
Her mother is said to have lived with her, after her father’s death, but this has not been reflected in any census records.
In 1901, daughters Agnes, Margret, Josephine and Annie were still at home. And in 1911 Josephine and (Annie) Florence were living with her.
And in 1921, at age 84, her daughters Agnes and Florence were living with her, along with 3 lodgers.
Daughters - Birdie (married Charles Casey), Margaret (married Walter Haley), Florrie (married Mr Larkin) and Josie (when in her sixties married Martin Daley who was 82 and lived only four months). They were born between 1870 and 1885.
