So she was listed as Nellie A. Allen (Nov 1881, OH) in the 1900 census, as the daughter of James and Sarah Allen.
In 1910 she was married 9 years to Karr L. Reed (28, OH) a laborer, at age 24, and they had 4 children; Howard D. (8), Cledis A. (6), Leona M. (4), and Thelma D. (2). They also had children Kenneth J. (1911), Arnold D. (1914), Nina J. (1916), and Chester F. (1922).
By 1940 she and Karr had only Arnold (26) and Chester (18) living at home.
Widow of Karr Loss Reed (1879-1951) when she died.
