Appears to be listed in the 1850 for Licking County as Anna (26, OH), wife of Joseph Campbell (37 OH), with her son Leander Moats (3, OH) and brother-in-law Andrew Campbell (40 OH). Not sure if she was divorced or widowed from Henry Moats.
The family moved soon thereafter, and are listed in the 1856 Iowa census for Port Louisa, with Joseph Campbell listed as a farmer (42, OH), and wife Anny (31, IL) who had been there 4 yrs, along with his older children from a prior marriage Asa W. Campbell (24, OH) who had been in Iowa 6 yrs and Nancy Campbell (18, OH) in Iowa 4 yrs. Then Leander Motes (9, IL) is listed, along with their common children John Campbell (3, IA) and Ellen Campbell (1, IL). It is unclear why Anna and Leander were listed as being born in Illinois.
By 1860 they had actually moved to Illinois, with Joseph (47, OH), and Anna (37, IL), then Henry Motes (13, IL), John Campbell (8, IA), Barbara Campbell (5, IA) and Nancy Campbell (20, OH).
Not much changed in 1870, Joseph (65, OH), Anna (46, IL), John (18, IA), Ellen (16, IA) and a new daughter Maria (5, IL), along with Leander Motes (23, IL) changing his name back, and now working as a farm laborer.
The family only consisted of Joseph Campbell (65, OH), Anna (55, IL) and daughter Mariah (14, IL) in 1880.
