Helen E. Wells
Helen E. Wells, age 69, of Lago Vista, Texas, died Tuesday, December 22, 1987.
Mrs. Wells was born Helen E. Hoog in Chicage, Illinois on January 31, 1918. She married Raymond R. Wells on Monmouth in 1942. She attended West Liberty, Iowa and Monmouth, Illinois schools. Mrs. Wells worked for the Henry Co. Highway Department, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Methodist Church, attending Travis Oaks Baptist Church for 12 years.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 1987 at Travis Oaks Baptist Church in Lago Vista.
Mrs. Wells is survived by a son, Ted of Kentucky; two sisters, Jane of Florida and Emilou of Colorado; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Mrs. Pam Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio.
Memorials may be mande to the Lago Vista Volunteer Fire Department or the Travis Oaks Baptist Church.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Rd.

Listed as Ray R. Wells (27, IL) in 1940, working as a Civil Engr as an assistant to the Superintendant of Highways. He was married to Constance (23, IL) who had lived in Galesburg, Knox Co, IL before 1935.
After her death in 1940 he was remarried to Helen Hoog in North Carolina in 1942, although he was living in Monmouth Co, IL and she was living in Los Angeles, CA at the time.
It appears that they returned from Germany on 17 Jun 1954, arriving at Idlewild airport, NY.
They passed thru the Florida Everglades immigration on 13 Jan 1960 (departure point unknown) where his birth date is listed, with wife Helen E. Wells ( b. 31 Jan 1918 Chicago), and their residence listed as Cambridge, IL.
He was living in Lago Vista, TX in 1977 when his brother died.
SSDI and Texas Death records simply listed as Raymond Wells.

Raymond R Wells, 73 of 4009 Rockwood Drive Lago Vista Texas, formerly of Monmouth died July 28. Funeral services were held at Travis Oaks Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Lago Vista Volunteer Fire Department or the church.
Mr Wells was born in Monmouth He retired in 1975 as superintendent from the Henry County Highway Department. Mr Wells was a 32nd degree mason. He was a member of Cambridge Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Helen Elizabeth Hoog Wells, a daughter Pam Anderson of University Heights, Ohio, a son Raymond Jr of Louisville Ky, and six grandchildren
