MARTIN--Jean Jacobs. Weeks from her 93rd birthday, Jean Jacobs Martin left us on June 23, 2009. Her life will be celebrated by friends and family in Central Park on November 22nd at a Conservancy bench adopted in her memory. Born of Russian parentage in New York City on July 18, 1916, Jean was always an elegant, proud, and generous New Yorker; a loving, caring, loyal friend to many; a devoted wife to the late Charles Jacobs and the late Herman Martin; and the greatest fan of her "perfect" sons, Alan and Jim Jacobs, her daughters-in-law, Lynn Goodpasture and Kathleen Craig, and her granddaughters, Keelia Goodpasture Jacobs, the late Halley Canyon Rose Jacobs, and Wesley Lynn Willow Jacobs. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Central Park Conservancy.
