[Obituary] by Liz Mandel Boulder - 2 Dec 2019
Gerald Orange Dreyfuss was my Mother Lucille's brother, my uncle. He moved his wife Audrey and two children Amie and Scott to Florida from New York as he had a health condition early 1960's. I remember Uncle Gerry being very careful of his health; he took great care of his children after their Mom passed, they were pretty young. I always loved visiting Uncle Gerry he taught me to scuba dive in the canals and about strange animals and insects that lived in his area, and took us all to the Monkey Zoo and the Snake Farm. He will always be very special to me, to our entire family and certainly to my Mom-who Uncle Gerry always teased about being so much older than he!
Uncle Gerry was the Superintendent of Schools Dade County for many years where he met his beloved Karen. Karen pre-deceased Gerry In 2014, he was very sad without Karen. Our family will miss Uncle Gerry very much but know he is happy to see almost all of his family now. Many Blessings & Love, Liz
