Marsha “Marty” Vail, age 57, of Lexington Road, Fredericktown, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 19, 1955 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Stanley and Lillian (Goossens) Vail. Marty was employed 23 years for Fosters Pharmacy in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Mount Vernon. Marty enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and collecting Homer Laughlin China.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Vail whom she married on September 27, 1981, a daughter, Andrea (Reggie) Rodman of Bealeton, Virginia, a son, Lucas Vail, a step son, Jay (Niki) Vail of Virginia Beach, Virginia, grandchildren, Samuel, Mary and Eddie Rodman, Mikayla, Trey, Eric, Seth and Brandon Vail, a brother, Dick Vail of Fredericktown, three sisters, Barbara (Harold) Fowler of Mount Vernon, Maggie Small of Palm Coast, Florida , Debbie Ivy of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Vail and a sister, Karen Gossett.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. The family will observe a memorial service at a later date.
