She had stage 4 anaplastic thyroid cancer (2020).

On December 11, 2020 Arlene (nee Gordon) Koenig, beloved wife of the late Robert A. Koenig, Sr.; devoted mother of Jennifer Underwood and her husband Chris, Robert A. Koenig, Jr. and his wife Elisabeth; loving grandmother of Bethany Underwood, Hannah Underwood, Nolen Underwood, Willa Koenig and Marnie Koenig; dear sister of the late Eleanor Koenig and her husband Randy; cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment are private. If desired memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org
