Survived by her husband Ryan Huff, her mother Christine "Chris" Joy Hyatt and husband Ken, and her father Gerald "Jerry" Wells and wife, Joan. Also survived by her uncles Douglas Joy and Bill Wells (Robert Luoma), cousins Michael (Alison) Palmer and Susan Palmer (Peter Reid) and stepsiblings Dana (Kevin) Wade, Staci (John) Chavigny and Kenny (Janine) Hyatt. Also survived by Cinnamon, Sedona and other dearly loved cats. Christmas was best celebrated with her nieces and nephews: Ryan, Mia and Teddy Wade, Cooper Chavigny, and Harrison Hyatt. Erika was a native of Manhattan Beach and both a Pacific Panther and Mira Costa Mustang. She was an enthusiastic performer in Manhattan Beach Community Church productions. Erika received her BA at UC Davis, an MA at Cal Poly SLO, and a 2nd MA at Grand Canyon University, AZ. She married Ryan Huff on October 3, 2009 and their marriage was often said to be a perfect match. Erika worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security (Disabilities) as a service coordinator. She was a member of the Phoenix (alumnae) chapter of Chi Omega sorority and active in both the book and dinner clubs. Erika's creative outlet was her small jewelry business; her designs showed true imagination. Erika had a stroke on May 18 and, despite the best efforts at St Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, she passed on May 29. Erika inspired many with her courage in face of challenges, her persistence to achieve her goals, her upbeat and positive attitude, and her generosity of spirit. If you wish to consider a contribution in Erika's memory please consider either the Turner Syndrome Foundation (http://www.turnersyndromefoundation.org) or the Lost-Our-Home Pet Foundation (http://www.lostour home.org). Turner Syndrome is a condition that Erika lived with her entire life and which may have contributed to her untimely passing. Erika fostered many cats for Lost-Our-Home, an organization dedicated to caring for homeless pets. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
