Listed in the 1865 census with his father, Darius (62, Herkimer Co) twice married, and himself (29, Chautauqua Co) widowed, and his son William H. Tallman (3 1/2, Chautauqua Co).
Then married Irene A. Watrous (1850–1930) on 22 Sep 1869 in Ashtabula Co, OH.
