William was first married to Agnes E. Barkley (1859-1912) in 1877, with whom he had a daughter and son. They are listed with his parents in 1880. Then with his wife, daughter and mother in 1900, and just wife and daughter in 1910.
His wife Agnes died 11 Dec 1912 in Madrid, NY.
William then married Hattie Wilson in California in January 1913, where he died only 2 months later. So she was remarried to Benjamin Grant in 1915.

Hattie then married Benjamin Frank Grant in 1915 in Indiana, with her last name as Hall.
In 1919, she took her mother’s remains from Chicago to Madrid, NY for burial in the family plot. She was then married in November 1919 to James H. Ivie in Danville, IL.
In 1930, she and James Ivie were both listed in the Sailors & Soldiers Home in Illinois, as Hattie M. (57, NY).
By 1940, they had been moved to the State Soldiers Home in Indiana, where she is listed as Ada H. Ivie (68, NY).

MRS. JAMES H. IVIE
Mrs. Hattie M. Ivie, 74, wife of James H. Ivie, Spanish War veteran, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday at the Soldiers Home hospital. Born in Madrid , NYY, she entered the home in 1926, from Vigo county. Surviving are the husband and two sons, Robert Thomas of Casper, Wyo., and LeRoy, of St. Louis.
The body is at the Templeton funeral home and services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Soldiers Home chapel.
