GEORGE A. PAINTER
George Arthur Painter, 70, of DeLand, Fla., formerly of Bethlehem, died Nov. 3 in Virginia Beach (Va.) General Hospital. He was married to Joyce M. Painter. He was a truck driver for Air Reduction before retiring. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late George A. Sr. and Emma Mae (Hitchcock) Painter.
He was a former member of Wesley Methodist Church, Bethlehem. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War (11 Jan 1951-16 Dec 1954). He was a volunteer for the Bethlehem Special Olympics.
Survivors: Wife; sons, George A. III in Florida, Gregory L. of Las Vegas, Nev.;daughter, Dawn Balf in Florida; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
