He was living with his family in 1930 in Bull Moose, ND, but they all moved to California by 1940 and he was separated from them in 1940, still listed as married.
He then died in 1948 and has no other records.

Jacobson, wife of the late John Jacobson; loving mother of Maria Follansbea of Wisconsin, Lila Craig, Joe Jacobson, Oscar Jacobson of Oakland, Julia Stern of Stockton, Mabel Horst and Melvin Jacobson of Stockton and Donald Jacobson - of Benicia; a member of Hiawatha Council No. 21, Degree of Pocahontas, native of Minnesota, aged 72 years, 8 months, 26 days.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services Saturday. Feb. 21. 1953, at 2 p. m. in the chapel of the Martin Funeral Home, 445 N. American St. Graveside services under auspices of Hiawatha Council No. 21 of Pocahontas. IORM. Committal at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Final rites were held today for Mrs. Bertha M. Jacobson, 72, of 25-B Hinkley, who died Wednesday in San Joaquin General Hospital after a long illness. Committal followed in Cherokee Memorial Park. A native of Minnesota, she was a Stockton resident 17 years and a member of the Hiawatha Council Degree of Pocahontas. Her husband, John Jacobson, retired farmer, died five years ago. Surviving her are eight children, Lila Craig, Joe Jacobson, Oscar Jacobson, all of Oakland, Julia Stern, Mabel Horst and Melvin Jacobson, all of Stockton, Donald Jacobson of Benecia, and Marie Follansbee of Wisconsin.
