Some of the Kartozynskis lived comfortably, but they were not wealthy factory owners.  They stayed and managed to survive the revolution (although one uncle was blinded in a torture session, while I think another relative was sent to Siberia). This line stayed as Kartozynski near Rostov, tried to keep their Jewishness, and some of them moved to Israel in the 1990s.  Others remained in Russia and Ukraine and are still there.
