EVA S. ALLES, AGED LA VERNE MATRON, DIES
LA VERNE, Mar. 6-- Mrs. Eva S. Alles died here this morning at 8:05 o'clock at the family home, 2730 E. street, following a few weeks illness. Born in Defiance, Ohio, on June 3, 1859, she and her family came to California in 1929 from a former home in Dickinson county, Kansas, and she had been a resident of La Verne since that time. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving relatives are her husband, Balzer Alles; one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Brubaker, and three grandchildren, Ellwyn Lee, Evelyn Loree and Delmale Gayle Brubaker, all of La Verne. Funeral services will be held from the local Church of the Brethren, on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Galen K. Walker, pastor of the church, will officiate. Entombment will be made in the Pomona Mausoleum. Todd & Reeves are in charge of arrangements.
