Phillip Wells, lovingly known as Phil, passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on April 2, 1953, in Yadkin County, North Carolina. Phil spent most of his life working as a mechanic, and many will say he was one of the best.
Working with machines was not just a profession for Phil; it was his passion. He dedicated countless hours to his craft, ensuring that every vehicle he touched ran smoothly. Beyond his work, Phil had a few other interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed guns, bonfires, and classic country music, which always seemed to put a smile on his face.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert D. Wells and Martha Plott, his beloved wife Monica Lucey, and his two loyal canine companions, Sport and Molly. Although they are no longer with us, their memories will forever be cherished.
Phil is survived by his niece, Glennda Wall, his longtime girlfriend, Ann Crutchley, and his daughter, Annabella Crutchley. He also leaves behind close family friends, Tracey Ridings, Zach Ridings, and Sierra Ridings, along with four adopted grandchildren, Madison Fulk, Aubree Ridings, Grayson Ridings, and Everly Harrelson. Phil's furry friends, Frankie and Loki, his dogs, and Spiderman and Bleu, his cats, were also dear to his heart.
Services for Phil will be held to celebrate his life. A gathering will take place on October 1st, 2023, from 2-4pm at the Forbush Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of the donor's choosing in Phil's name.
