YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Wells Collins, 65, of Old U.S. Highway 421 E. passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at her home. She was born Oct. 17, 1938, in Rowan County to the late John Thomas and Beulah Mae Reavis Wells. Mrs. Collins was a retired medical assistant with Physician Billing. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Jackie Collins (Phillip M.) Williams of Yadkinville; two sons, Johnny Lee Collins and fiancee Tina Russo of Yadkinville, and the Rev. Jeffrey Lane (Linda T.) Collins of Wilkesboro; seven grandchildren; two stepgrand-children; a sister, Lula Mae Joyner of Yadkinville; and a brother, William Leon Wells. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 13, at the Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. R.W. Teague and the Rev. Elizabeth Forrest. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, Liberty Church Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.
