Richard Spear
Richard Spear 78 Yeim died Friday July 12 1991 in his home. He was bom Oct 22 1912 in Jackson Mich to Ray and Myrtle (Price) Spear. He served In the Army Air Corps during World War II and was married to Norma Williamson on Dec 22 1945. Mr Spear was employed as a truck driver mostly in transporting new cars between businesses. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No 5580 the Yeim Moose Lodge and the Treble defters Organ Club of Yeim. He was also a member of the Live For Today support group in Olympia. Surviving Mr Spear are three daughters Catherine Triem and Tommie Porter both of Yeim and Susan McGuckin, Toledo Ohio; also eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral and graveside service for Mr Spear will begin at 11 am Wednesday July 17 in Fir Lane Memorial chapel in Spanaway. Arrangements are by Fir Lane Funeral Home Spanaway.

Norma L. Spear, of Yelm, passed away on September 26, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Tommy" Spear. Prior to her retirement, Norma was employed as an administrative assistant for the Thurston County Fire Protection District #17. Her volunteer and social activities included Live For Today, Women of the Moose, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Treble Clefts Organ Club of Yelm, and the Methodist and Lutheran Churches of Yelm. Norma was a founding member of the incorporation of Lakewood, California. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine, Tommie Lou, and Susan; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Fir Lane Memorial Chapel in Spanaway, and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Fir Lane Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fir Lane Memorial Park.
